I absolutely LOVE my airfryer! I know, it’s hard to feel like you need another kitchen appliance but this one has been a game changer! You can read my Airfryer 101 post as to which airfryers I’ve had and love and WHY I use mine multiple times a day. Still need to get that airfryer out of the box? Here are 12 Whole30 Airfryer Recipes to get you rocking and rolling!
Paleo Chick-fil-a Chicken
We love this copycat recipe! It freezes fantastically, replacing those so-many-ingredient store bought nuggets. It includes egg-free and nut-free options for those that need them. One of my most popular recipes! In a crunch for time? Either marinate the night before, or skip the pickle juice marinade and this turns into popcorn chicken! My family loves them with the below easy homemade Date Mustard Sauce.
Garlic Fries
Meet our family’s hands-down FAVE crispy fry option that can be done in oven or airfryer. Finally, a homemade fry that is crispy and delicious!
Garlic Chicken
Seven ingredients (not counting salt), a nice moist chicken with enough flavor to be interesting but mild enough for my kids to love it too. Great by itself, chopped up in salads, or on top of zoodles with a marinara sauce like a chicken parmesean. Whole30 compliant and keto-friendly, this one is a winner!
Chicken BBQ Pineapple Kabobs
Kabobs always bring the wow, but are not hard to make. Not a lot of prep, and not one but THREE ways to cook this one, to cover all the bases. We love it from the grill, as those crispy bits just make it, but the airfryer does an great job getting those too. Easy and delicious this one!
Whole30 Mini Meatloaves
These Whole30, Keto, Paleo, kid-friendly Mini Meatloaves are a great way to get more protein into your little ones. My kids were turned off by a meatloaf but loved these more individual sized ones! Protein can be a hard sell for kids and these make that more approachable. With only 10 ingredients you might already have, options for air fryer, they freeze great, and come together start to finish in 30 minutes, what’s not to love??
Zucchini Wedges with Chipotle Sauce
Can veggies get any yummier with a healthy breading and fun dipping sauce?! These wedges are easy (i.e. no breading them one at a time) and a delicious way to get in some green veggies. The sauce seals the deal, so don’t skip it! An awesome add on to any meal, or appetizer for a party. Can also be frozen and saved for later!
Sweet Potato Toast
A fast and easy #whole30breakfast that only costs under $2. I love sweet potato toasts. Easy to make and even easier when you make them in bulk and freeze, then just toast or airfry the morning of. Throw in a batch of hard boiled eggs you pre-made (or buy the hard boiled eggs in pre-cooked packs from Costco or Sam’s Club), and this just became your new favorite 5-minute breakfast. Trust me, it’s time to get on the sweet potato toast train!
Blackened Chicken
This Whole30, Keto, and Paleo compliant chicken recipe is quick & easy, has ingredients you probably already have, and flavorful! It checks alll the boxes and is great by itself or in a salad or lettuce wrap. We make it a few times a month and love it!
Chicken Zucchini Nuggets
This kid-friendly handheld protein-veggie combo is a protein source that kids of all ages can enjoy! We love dipping it in my date mustard sauce. The ingredients are simple and inexpensive and freeze fantastically, so double batch and freeze the extras. Bonus: it’s Whole30, Paleo, and Keto compliant. Wahoo!
Air Fryer Kale Chips
I love my airfryer (as you all know) for a lot of reasons, but making perfect kale chips EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. might be my favorite reason❤️??. I know I *should* eat my greens, but I’m a foodie and won’t unless it tastes good. And homemade kale chips are where it is at guys and they are so easy!.\ They pack in the greens while being a very portable veggie. ?? #winning
Bacon Wrapped Pesto Chicken
Pesto Bacon Chicken – looks so fancy, taste is on point, but I didn’t have to slave in the kitchen forever for it! And my kids cheer when it comes to the table #winwin. If you have pesto on hand, it becomes a 3-ingredient recipe!
Avocado Wedges
Just when you thought you couldn’t love avocado’s more…enter avocado wedges! These blew my mind and my husband and I just fought over the last few. Delicious – crispy on the outside and creamy on the middle, with a sauce that has a little (but not too much – I’m a spice weenie) kick. Both are Whole30 compliant. I can’t wait to be asked to bring an appetizer to a party – these are totally coming!
5-ingredient Chicken Strips
The easiest #whole30 5-ingredient chicken strips you probably already have the ingredients for! These are kid-friendly – both in flavor and ability to involve the kids in the prep. I make them in a pinch when dinner needs to happen fast. Everyone in our family is on board with these and they keep great in the fridge to chop up for salads or wraps later in the week.
Homemade Chicken Apple Sausage
These homemade sausage patties are easy, budget friendly, and freeze great! Great for an egg-free breakfast or even for dinner. Love these in the airyfryer!
Airfryer Plantain Chips
Homemade plantain chips may seem unneccessary, when most whole food stores have a version or 10. BUT, should you not have great access to them OR are on a Whole30, you might consider making them yourself. They are so easy and I love being able to make them my way (i.e. not deep fried in oils I don’t love).
Plus, on Whole30 you are not allowed to have any store-bought commercially-made chips, including plantain chips or others that the ingredients are compliant. Read this link to find out more on that. And please note, if you find yourself unable to resist making and eating these excessively on a Whole30, they are SWYPO for you and best left out.
Matt’s Roasted Sweet Potatoes
This is my husband’s favorite side dish. He literally requests it for his birthday AND Father’s Day every year. It has more flavor that your average roasted sweet potatoes, but it comes from spices you probably already having your kitchen. 5-ingredients (I don’t count salt/pepper) and easily made in your oven or airfryer. Woot!
Roasted Pecans
We affectionately call these nut “crack” as they are irresistably good! Why roast pecans, you might ask? Cause it makes them amazing! Can also be done with almonds and walnuts. Hands down converted some of my kids to loving nuts.
What brand of air fryer do you have? We are looking into them but there are so many different ones. Any off the record recommendations? Thanks
Hi! I get it, there are so many out there. This blog has the two that I have had and enjoyed. Hope that helps you find the right one for you!

Saving to my Home Screen! Love it!!!
Hooray! Thank you Lori – I am so glad this was one worth keeping!
Can you cook things like frozen tenderloin, frozen pork chops, frozen chicken, etc… in the Airfryer?
Definitely! You would just want to use a lower temperature for a longer time to make sure the middle gets cooked through and might have to play around with it a bit.
