Whole30 3-Minute Blender Salsa - Paleo, gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free. EASY and uses canned tomatoes but tastes restaurant good!

This 3-Minute Whole30 Blender Salsa is THE EASIEST it gets for a delicious sauce. We stopped buying jarred salsa years ago when I created this recipe. All of my kids can make it, from my 18 year old down to my 10 year old. It’s that easy!

Why We Love This 3-Minute Whole30 Blender Salsa

First, it is Whole30, Paleo, Keto, gluten-free, dairy-free and naturally nut-free, egg-free, Vegan, and Plant-based Whole30. This is the salsa for everyone!

Second, it doesn’t get any easier than this 3-Minute Whole30 Blender Salsa. It uses canned tomatoes as the base, with no chopping by hand. Let the blender or food processor do it all.

Whole30 3-ingredient Blender Salsa - Paleo, Keto, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free, vegan, plant-based Whole30.

Finally, it tastes like restaurant salsa! My family hands down prefers it over any canned salsa. I am asked for the recipe every time I take it to a party!

Make it a Whole30 appetizer by pairing it with Homemade Tostones or Plantain Chips.

Ingredients

  • Cilantro – Fresh cilantro, chopped in the food processor with the onion.
  • Onion – Yellow, white, or sweet onion. No chopping by hand – I put this and the cilantro in the food processor to chop it fine.
  • Canned diced tomatoes – I use one can of regular diced tomatoes and one can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies. This gives the salsa a little kick, but not too much. I find this salsa right in between mild and medium heat. Add that jalapeno if you want more heat!

Whole30 3-ingredient Blender Salsa - Paleo, Keto, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free, vegan, plant-based Whole30.

  • Garlic powder – Adds a garlic touch without having to have fresh garlic on hand. Can substitute 1 tablespoon minced garlic instead.
  • Jalapeno – I prefer the salsa without the jalapeno, but my family who likes it hotter loves adding it. You chose your heat!
  • Salt – Regular table salt here.
  • Cumin – I find this in most grocery store spice aisles.

Instructions

  • In a food processor, pulse the cilantro and onion finely chopped.
  • Add remaining ingredients and pulse to combine – careful, it doesn’t take much to combine this, I only need 6-7 pulses in my blender. Pulse until finely chopped to desired consistency.
  • Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

My favorite salsa was from giant Eagle marketplace in Pittsburgh until I found this recipe. So easy so quick and so freaking delicious. Now I don’t have to drive nine hours to get my favorite salsa. I can make it in my kitchen!

I’ve picked up a lot of store salsa but never was able to find one that was a happy balance — not too spicy, small chunks, NOT soupy. This salsa was perfect and it came together way too easy! I loved it fresh-made, but can’t wait to try it tomorrow once it’s sat in the refrigerator overnight.

This came together so quickly and using canned tomatoes ensured a rich tomato-y taste. The texture is perfect. My husband fell in love with a store bought salsa but it has sugar so I had to try Autumn’s recipe. He loved this too!

This salsa is fantastic! It comes together so quickly. It quickly replaced our normal go-to fresh salsa recipe. And the best part, my ultra picky eater LOVES it, and can make it by herself. Thanks for the great recipe!

My husband loves a store bought restaurant style salsa, but it has sugar in it. I decided to try this recipe for him and he loves this now! The canned tomatoes ensure a rich tomato flavor no matter what time of year it is. I love that it is easily tweakable for hotness, cilantro, and onion preferences. It is addicting!
