Parties can be tricky when you are on a Whole30, eat Paleo, gluten-free, or dairy-free, or just don’t want to nose dive into allll the treats that are showing up. One of the best ways to navigate a party? BYO appetizer! Especially an appetizer that has healthy fats, protein, or both. Those will stabilize your blood sugar and cravings, so you won’t be as tempted to eat all the things you didn’t really want. I would never mind if someone brought an appetizer to any of my parties, especially one as delicious as these!
Avocado Wedges with Chipotle Sauce
I freaking love these little wedges of deliciousness! So good and a hit every time I have brought them to a party. Just when you thought you couldn’t love avocados more…
Paleo Chick-fil-a Chicken
A fan-favorite chicken strip & dip appetizer that is easy and tastes amazing!
Whole30 Garlic Fries
These crispy oven or airfryer fries are one of my most popular recipes for a reason – they are so good!
Tostones fajita sliders
One of our absolute FAVES! Tostones can take a little more time to make than some of these other options, but are one of my top 5 favorite foods ever and absolutely worth it. The tostones can also be made ahead and kept in the freezer. Be warned, you may want this appetizer all to yourself!
Roasted Pecans
We affectionately call these nut “crack” as they are irresistably good! Why roast pecans, you might ask? Cause it makes them amazing!
Brisket Sliders
These have been brought, by popular demand, to every Whole30 potluck I’ve hosted, as well as to my annual Couples Halloween party. So delicious and always a hit!
Pesto Bacon Chicken
Three ingredients and one of them is bacon. Trust me, these are a winner and so fast and easy! A great Keto option as well.
Chocolate Date Balls
These little balls have NO added sugar and are a great handheld snack that is portable too!
Homemade Plantain Chips with 3-Minute Blender Salsa or Guacamole
Chips and salsa or guacamole Whole30 Style! A great main-stream appetizer in a way you can enjoy them on Whole30. Note: store-bought plantain chips are not allowed on Whole30, so use my easy recipe to make them at home!
Pumpkin Spice or Cinnamon Roasted Nuts
Roasted nuts make the perfect finger food that is easy as well as satiating. Make these with either pumpkin spice or cinnamon (depending on your flavor preference or how long you think it’s ok to be pumpkin spice season…) – so good! Both roasted nut recipes are also great for Keto preferences.
Guac or 3-minute Blender Salsa and Tostones
A twist on a party classic, this comes with us to most parties. The guac and salsa take minutes to make, but taste restaurant level. No corn or store bought chips here, but feel free to use those instead if you are not on a Whole30.
