Ingredients
You’ll only need a handful of pantry staples to make this delicious dip.
-
Dairy-free cream cheese – The base of the dip; creamy, tangy, and completely dairy-free. I love using Violife, as it’s also nut-free. If you need this dip to be nut free, be sure to use a nut-free cream cheese like Violife! It does have lentil protein. If you need a cream cheese with Paleo ingredients, use Kitehill Cream Cheese, which is Whole30 Approved (but is nut-based). Both of these brands have the best flavor, IMO. The Daiya brand I can find at Walmart works as well. I did NOT like the flavor of the Miyokos dairy-free cream cheese.
-
Coconut sugar – Adds a deep, caramel-like sweetness without refined sugar. It’s like the brown sugar of the paleo world. I get my coconut sugar most affordably from the bulk bins at Winco. When I buy it online, here (1.5 pounds) or here (5lbs, cheaper but in bulk) are the one I get from Amazon or you can also get it from Walmart here. Or, if you prefer, you can use an equal amount of brown sugars instead.

-
Vanilla – Just a splash for that warm, cozy flavor.
-
Dairy-free toffee – This is what takes the dip over the top. Gooey, sticky, and rich—yum! Think like a Heath bar but in a dairy-free way. The only brand I know of and LOVE, is Toffee Bark by Cocomel. You can find it cheapest online in bulk on Amazon, or you can buy a single (not cheap) bag on Amazon here. Or, I’ve seen it at a lot of natural grocery stores like Whole Foods in the candy section. You can also use the Cocomel product finder here.
How to Make It
This Dairy-free Toffee Apple Dip comes together in one bowl and just a few steps.
-
Mix the base – In a medium bowl, stir together the dairy-free cream cheese, coconut sugar, and vanilla until smooth and well combined.
-
Swirl in toffee – Fold in the dairy-free toffee. You can mix it in fully or leave some swirls for a beautiful presentation.
-
Chill (optional) – While totally optional, chilling it for 15–30 minutes helps the flavors deepen and gives it a firmer texture.
-
Serve – Pair with sliced apples, pears, or even gluten-free graham-style crackers for dipping.
