Saturday, I went to a grocery store unlike anythin Saturday, I went to a grocery store unlike anything I’ve ever seen before😲. #ad I actually love grocery shopping. But I get it can feel overwhelming, especially when your family is trying to eat healthier. Nutrition labels are confusing and it’s hard to know what eating “better” looks like. On Saturday, @raleys opened their second O-N-E store in El Dorado Hills, CA. These stores are boldly focusing on Organics, Nutrition, and Education. Here’s what makes these stores different: -All the products in the store are held to a higher ingredient standard - over 100 ingredients you WILL NOT find in *any* of the items in their store, including: • NO artificial colors & flavors • NO high fructose corn syrup • NO artificial preservatives or additives (like nitrates, nitrites, carrageenan) • NO hydrogenated fats/oils. - Also, their departments standards are impressive: • Meats are ALL antibiotic free with no added hormones, humanely raised and grass-fed where possible • Eggs are all cage free • Seafood is wild caught and responsibly farmed • Produce is sustainably farmed and organically/locally sourced where possible. - These standards roll over into the household and beauty products that are hypoallergenic, paraben free, phthalate free and sulfate free options. I just walked around in AWE. Think about if you could take your child to the cereal or snack isle and know that any cereal they pick out will not have artificial sweeteners, colors, or flavors in it. The soda isle didn’t have a single big box name in it, as none of them meet the high ingredient standards – instead we found friends like Zevia and Izze. Raley’s mantra is that they want to “change the way the world eats one plate at a time,” and I was told the owner wanted to be a leader in changing the grocery store landscape. Mama ain’t playing anymore boys. 😑. Fridge “love note” to my boys: “I am at my limit with things being left out. When you don’t put things away, it is rude & disrespectful - you are essentially saying you expect others to clean up after you or be ok with your mess until you clean it up. This needs to stop and I’m done asking. *Every item left out = 5 minutes gaming time lost. Gaming will only be earned back through extra chores.* - Mom” . Let’s see how this goes...

I didn’t go into TJs needing much 😉, so these were just unique finds or faves I needed to stock up on. Swipe left to see some NEW to me items I found! . GF/DF (first photo, NOT Whole30) • The plantain croutons are 👌🏻 • The GF hamburger buns are the softest and most affordable ($3.99) • The new onion chips are not quite crispy enough for me but will be delicious crumbled on salads • We will be taste testing the TJs DF mozzarella against our normal @daiyafoods for pizza night this week - I will report back! • The NEW Grainless Granola is paleo, only $3.99 and tasty. Though my kids thought the seeds in it were too much texture for them. • Their plantain crisps are a great hack instead of homemade tostones on a busy night and paleo. . Whole30 (second photo) • Stocked up on my hubby’s favorite jalapeño @chomps at only $1.69/each • The apple fruit snacks are tasty and fun for trips • Their frozen açaí packets are only $3.99/4 and unsweetened 👏🏻. Perfect for healthier acai bowls at home. • The sparkling coconut water and strawberry juice are delicious and a fun drink option. The coconut one surprisingly tastes like Sprite? 🤷🏻‍♀️ • The most affordable Whole30 compatible pickles ($2.99) for making my Chick-fil-a chicken. • And always the pantry staples of coconut aminos, garlic olive oil, garlic salt grinder, and 21 seasoning salute. . I didn’t come home with the pickle chips, as my hubby is the only pickle fan but they have refined sugar in them (which he doesn’t eat). And they now have prepared roasted broccoli in the produce section that isn’t cheap but could be a fast veggie add on and are Whole30 compatible. . The @froozeballsusa were new to me too. Not Whole30, due to peanuts, but similar idea to a date ball. They were meh. . Any favorites here or new finds I missed?
PALEO CHOCOLATE COVERED MINI DONUTS - GF/DF with n PALEO CHOCOLATE COVERED MINI DONUTS - GF/DF with nut-free option. . Oh these are good y’all! They take me back to my Hostess Donut loving days (anyone else love those? 😜), but with way more nourishing ingredients. So soft and chewy on the inside, with a crunchy chocolate outside. My kids loved that I added @missjonesbakes sprinkles to some of them too. My 12 year old tried them and promptly proclaimed, “Wow mom, these are actually delicious!” 😂 Um, thanks?! A fantastic treat for weekend breakfast or whenever you want a tasty option.
